Another RS1 in the books

Empact is pleased to announce we've graduated another #Rescue Systems 1 course. On September 1st, 12 rescuers representing five agencies from across the country completed their training in structural collapse and rope rescue, earning credentials at the

#NFPA Operations level! Not only were we joined by local #firefighters from across the #Seattle area but even had students from our partners over at Cajun Navy Relief join us.

Rescue Systems 1 is a fast-paced, hands-on course designed to provide the line firefighter with essential rescue skills. Topics include low- and high-angle rope systems, shoring, cribbing, breaching, and heavy lifting; all using commonly available tools. Empact holds two Rescue Systems 1 courses per year; for more info, please contact our training coordinator, Jeff Rye, at jrye@empactnorthwest.org.
