Last week, Empact dispatched three of our members to Belize for a whirlwind 3 days of meetings in preparation for an exciting new project. Beginning immediately, Empact Northwest will be working with the Belize National Fire Service to develop a modern
technical rescue capability for the people of Belize. This far-reaching project will include all aspects of standing up a rescue team from nothing to support the people of this vulnerable nation. Standards development, personnel selection, training curriculum design, training delivery, and finally, a rescue response partnership that ensures that the people of Belize have access to the finest rescue resources available.
While there is currently no technical rescue capability for the nation of Belize, they are blessed with a very committed fire service who strive every day to do more, better for the people of their nation. There's lots of work to come, but Empact could not be more thrilled to be a part of this essential project alongside our partners, including the Belize National Fire Service, Trek Medics, and Belize Heroes.
