Empact Becomes Charter Member in East African EMS Initiative

Empact Northwest is thrilled to announce that we have become a charter member of CHEAR ME, the Collaboration to Help East Africans Respond to Medical Emergencies. Alongside our partners in Tanzania, Kenya, and here in the US, we'll be working for the next several months to help establish consistent, culturally appropriate, applicable curricula for community medical responders, beginning with those serving the communities of Mombasa, Kenya, and Mwanza, Tanzania.

Our partners in Tanzania and Kenya, the Tanzanian Rural Health Initiative and Emergency Medical Response Volunteers respectively, already have well-established programs in their areas but are striving to make this care more reliable and accessible to those across the region. And this represents another opportunity for us to work with our long-time project partners Trek Medics International.

We could not be more excited to be a part of this exciting initiative! Learn more at www.empactnorthwest.org/chear-me
